Post-Procedure Care
Your results depend on your aftercare. Follow these medical guidelines to ensure the best possible outcome for your Elite MedAesthetic treatment.
The First 4 Hours
- Keep your head upright (no lying down).
- Exercise your facial muscles (smile, frown, and squint).
- Gently apply a cold compress if needed for swelling.
The First 24 Hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting.
- Do not rub or massage the treated areas (prevents product migration).
- Avoid direct sun exposure or high heat (saunas/hot tubs).
- Avoid wearing tight hats or headbands.
Note: Full results for Botox and Dysport typically take 10–14 days to settle.
Immediate Care
- Apply ice intermittently for the first 24-48 hours.
- Sleep with your head slightly elevated.
- Take Arnica or Bromelain to help minimize bruising.
- Stay hydrated to help the Hyaluronic Acid settle.
Things to Avoid
- Avoid touching or picking at injection sites.
- No dental work for 2 weeks following filler.
- Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for 24 hours.
- Do not use Clarisonic brushes or firm face massages for 1 week.
When to Contact Us
Normal side effects include mild swelling, redness, and bruising. However, please contact Elite MedAesthetic immediately if you experience:
- Severe or increasing pain at the injection site.
- Skin that feels cold to the touch or looks mottled/pale.
- Significant swelling that increases after the first 48 hours.
- Any signs of an allergic reaction (hives, shortness of breath).
